Sun Splash Tours was founded by three friends from the University of Vermont in 1987.
They shared a common vision: to provide students with quality travel to exotic locations at affordable prices. Over the past three decades, they have evolved into one of the premier student travel companies, offering a wide selection of destinations, including the Caribbean, Mexico, Florida, and most recently, Amsterdam. Sun Splash Tours was also the first student travel company to introduce Spring Break to Negril, Jamaica.

We know our customers have many options when it comes to choosing a tour company, so we encourage you to do your homework before booking your trip (don’t worry – there will be no mid-term exam). As members of ASTA (American Society of Travel Agents), we have operated under the same name in New York State since 1987. We are members of the BBB (Better Business Bureau) and CLIA (Cruise Line International Association), as well as the NTA (National Tour Association), an organization of over 4000 tourism professionals that focuses on the development and promotion of tour operator travel. We understand this, and are proud to say that Sun Splash Tours has become known as “The Reliable Spring Break Company.” Large companies like The Travel Channel, MTV, MSNBC and The Guinness Beer Company have chosen us to handle their specific travel needs. In March of 2003, New Line Cinema selected Sun Splash Tours as the tour operator to be featured in the major motion picture "The Real Cancun". The film was the first ever reality movie produced, shown in over 2200 movie theaters across the nation, and is now available on DVD. We have also been featured in USA Today, The New York Times, The New York Daily News, Rolling Stone, Stuff, Air Jamaica's Sky Writings magazine and the Lonely Planet: Jamaica travel guide.
